Facility Manager Positions

GLS Associates, Inc is currently looking for a qualified Facility Managers for all locations. The Facility Manager will be responsible for delivering a high quality, well-maintained facility, focusing on ice quality, operations, safety, and customer satisfaction. In addition, they are responsible for developing a highly trained and customer focused staff that will help build customer loyalty and repeat business.  It is essential to this position to be regularly available during standard business hours as well as night, weekend and holiday hours to meet with staff, facility users and vendors and be present for routine and special events. Full-time/ Year-Round position will include days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operation and/or management of ice arena facilities with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity; Certification in Ice Arena Management, Operations, or Programming issued by iAIM, USIRA, or ORFA preferred; self-starter with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision, strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively; outstanding interpersonal skills to motivate and lead a team; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; flexibility to work varying hours; must have a valid Driver's License.

Assistant Rink Manager Positions

GLS Associates, Inc. is currently seeking Assistant Rink Managers who will assist with oversight of the daily operations. Reporting to the Rink Manager, this position operates the ice resurfacer to prepare ice surface; maintains the ice quality; performs maintenance on ice-making and resurfacing equipment. Performs custodial duties, including rubbish removal; clears snow and ice from walkways, exits, and the parking lot. Responds to requests for service or information.

Coordinates schedules; oversees the work of staff and volunteers; provides training. Performs similar or related work as required, or as situation dictates. The employee has ongoing contact with the public and vendors. The employee operates standard office equipment, medical equipment, hand, power and pneumatic tools, light truck, light and heavy equipment, ice resurfacer, ice edger, grounds maintenance equipment and sports equipment. The nature of the work requires irregular work schedules, nights and weekends and response to emergency situations.

Full & Part-Time Rink Operator Positions

We are currently accepting applications for Rink Attendant/Zamboni Operators at all locations!!

Reporting to the Rink Manager, the Ice Rink Attendant is responsible for maintaining the facility in order to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment for rink patrons. Maintenance & janitorial functions of the facility while it is open to the public, is required. Responsible for driving/operating ice resurfacer/Zamboni. This position will work alone and with other positions as required by the facility activities schedule. Weeknight & Weekend day & night shifts available!
